Sophie Caroline of Brandenburg-Kulmbach (31 March 1705 – 7 June 1764) was a princess consort of Ostfriesland as the spouse of Prince George Albert of East Frisia (1690–1734). On 14 October 1519, she gave birth to her first child, Marie of Brandenburg-Kulmbach. Via this daughter, Susanna became an ancestress of King George I of Great Britain and the House of Hanover. Susanna and Casimir had five children: Marie of Brandenburg-Kulmbach, married Elector Palatine Frederick (1519–1576) in 1537.
Marie, who is described as intelligent and religious, influenced her Catholic husband toward Protestantism. In 1546, Frederick finally adopted Lutheranism and assumed the administration of the Franconian territories from his brother-in-law Albert Alcibiades, Margrave of Brandenburg-Kulmbach .
