In 1951, the duke and duchess moved to Jersey for tax reasons. Several years later, in 1954, Jack and Audrey Leeds divorced after the duchess admitted to an affair with Sir David Roland Walter Lawrence, 3rd Bt., whom Audrey married in 1955.
