Childhood & Early Life. Mary of Teck was born on 26 May 1867, in Kensington Palace, London, to Duke of Teck, Prince Francis, and Mary Adelaide, Princess of Cambridge. Archbishop of Canterbury, Charles Thomas Longley christened her in the same year on 27 July in Kensington Palace’s Royal Chapel. Mary had three younger brothers.
