Melisa Bunayog Cantiveros-Francisco (Tagalog: [ˈmɛlaɪ kantɪˈbɛɾɔs]; born April 6, 1988) is a Filipino actress, comedian, and host. She came to prominence in 2009, after winning Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up. In 2015, she won the first season of the Filipino version of Your Face Sounds Familiar.

Melisa Cantiveros is the Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up.
Known as the goofiest housemate to ever live inside the Big Brother house, Melisa or Melai as what the housemates call her is memorable for her comical personality, her goofy gestures, sense of humor, her undeniably bubbly and positive personality, and laughter inside, no matter which house she's staying. She immediately became a fan favorite. She also popularized the expressions Char and Over which she constantly used inside the house.
Melisa entered the house on Day 1, initially entering in House B. But on Day 2, Big Brother revealed to her the secret twist of the season which was yet unknown to all of the housemates. She discovered that the Season has two houses, and she will be transferring to the other house without her housemates knowing the twist. She took part in the first House Swap of the season, with the housemate from House A, Tom Rodriguez.
She moved to House A on Day 2. Throughout her stay in House A, she became friends with of the housemates especially with Rica Paras and Carol Batay, but she also formed a tight friendship with the housemate Jason Francisco which later blossomed to romantic relationship.
Their blossoming romance became one of the best surprises this season where in thousands of viewers were hooked in their love story. Their funny yet romantic relationship became a nationwide phenomenon, where they eventually got their love team name Melason, a witty and funny play in the Filipino phrase, "May lason (eng. There's poison). One of their funny moments was joking about a mosquito who got into the house as their child which they named Dengue. On Week 7, Big Brother gave them a baby doll as Dengue their son. It had a face with both of their features combined with Melisa's curly hair, gap tooth and flat nose and Jason's dopey eyes, lips and piercing. When "Typhoon Apart" twist came in to the house, Jason and Melisa were separated as the female housemates had to swap houses. It left the two devastated and missing each other. Big Brother even played along with their comedic romance, and even held a fake custody hearing for the separated parents for their baby doll.
On Day 65, Big Brother provided a special date between the two, held in House B's Garden. There, a typically shy Jason confessed about her real feelings for Melisa, and finally asked her to be her girlfriend. It became one of the highlights of the series and one of the most unforgettable moments that took place inside the house in the history of Pinoy Big Brother.

•Maymay Entrata who eventually won Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 was often compared to Melisa due to their similar goofy and hyper characteristics. Coincidentally, both of them came from Mindanao and both speak Visayan as their native language.
