3 de ene. de 2023 · Michael Wertheimer, Professor Emeritus of Psychology and Neuroscience, passed away on December 23, 2022, following complications related to a fall. He was 95 years old. Born in Berlin, Michael was six when his family escaped Nazi Germany just as Hitler was rising to power.
Michael Matthew Wertheimer (March 20, 1927 – December 23, 2022) was a German-born American psychologist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research focused on cognition, psycholinguistics, and the history of psychology, among other areas.

Michael Wertheimer was the son of the renowned Gestalt psychologist Max Wertheimer. While continuing his commitment to Gestalt psychology and interests in both experimental and clinical psychology, Michael Wertheimer turned toward the history of psychology.
