Il est destiné à l'état ecclésiastique et, à l'âge de 22 ans alors qu'il n'est encore que sous-diacre, il est élu archevêque de Bourges en 1505, succédant ainsi à Guillaume de Cambrai .

24 de jul. de 2018 · Louis XII had an illegitimate son, Michel Bucy, Archbishop of Bourges, born 1485 or 1489, died 11 Feb. 1511. The only reference to his mother is that she was " a woman of the people". Given Henri's year of birth, 1502, Louis XII would seem more a likely candidate for a royal father.
