Latifi made his Formula One debut in the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix and competed with Williams for three full seasons, managing to score nine championship points.

Before joining Formula One, Latifi began his racing career in karting and progressed through the junior categories of motorsport, including the Formula Three Championship, the Formula Renault 3.5 and the GP2 Series.
