Nicholas on Holiday is a bit too episodic and the children aren't as memorable as the cast in the first film. Nevertheless, as live-action family films go this isn't bad at all. I especially enjoyed the deliberately campy scene in which Valérie Lemercier's character dances to The Pussycat Dolls' version of "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps."
