17 de feb. de 2023 · Foraging for plant and minerals, earths and fruits to extract their colours and to make them into paints and inks. Inspired by her daughters Nicole completed her Masters with distinction at the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts in the Summer of 2022.
My desire to work directly with the earth led me to explore different clays and their properties. Working raw untreatedclay with my hands and engaging with these organic materials, allowed me to feel the interconnectedness I was seeking- sothat I began to move naturally towards the forming of vessels, by using the ancient coiling technique.

Artist Statement. Videos. In my paintings, I gather earths and plants from sacred sites and wells, water as the symbol of unconscious and invisible life forces, thesupreme unity of all life, past, present, future. I use ancient traditional methods in transforming these into pigments for my paintings.
