Theories of Persuasion (COMM_ST 205-0) This course is a survey of major theories that explains how to change another person's attitudes and behaviors. Students learn the application of persuasion within a variety of contexts, including relationships, organizations, legal campaigns, and the mass culture.

Students majoring in Communication Studies will learn to analyze organizational, cultural, interpersonal and mass media communication. Filmmaking and Media Arts. Whether you're assigned a project in class or choose to create on your own time, self-supported student groups and department-funded grants provide pathways for students to write, shoot, direct, edit, and market their own films, television and web series, sketch and improv shows, and digital media projects.

Benzecry is Professor of Communication Studies and Sociology (courtesy) at Northwestern University, and Director of Graduate Studies for the MTS PhD. He holds secondary appointments at LACS and the IPTD Programs. He is a sociologist interested in culture, arts, knowledge and globalization.
