Olha Petrivna Kosach (née Drahomanova 29 June 1849 – 4 October 1930), better known by her pen name Olena Pchilka (Ukrainian: Олена Пчілка), was a Ukrainian publisher, writer, ethnographer, interpreter, and civil activist.

Writer, community leader, and ethnographer; mother of Lesia Ukrainka and sister of Mykhailo Drahomanov; corresponding member of the All-Ukrainian Academy of Sciences from 1925. She recorded folk songs, folk customs and rites, and collected folk embroidery in Volhynia.

24 de abr. de 2024 · Pchilka is a noticeable figure in the history of Ukrainian culture. A poet and prose writer, a researcher and a translator; she was versed in Ukrainian folklore and ethnography. She was also a publisher and mother of six talented children, two of whom became prominent Ukrainian litterateurs.
