Olympe Pélissier (née Olympe Louise Alexandrine Descuilliers 1 à Paris le 9 mai 1799 et morte le 22 mars 1878 à Paris) était le modèle du peintre Horace Vernet. Biographie. Elle pose notamment pour lui en 1830, pour une étude du personnage de Judith dans le tableau Judith et Holopherne.

- Gastronomía. Cuando Rossini abandonó la música, se dedicó por completo a la gastronomía. El placer de la comida, como comensal y como cocinero, se unió a su faceta de burgués en los “sábados musicales”.
- Amistades. A Gioacchino Rossini no se le conocen enemigos. Incluso Richard Wagner, que no acostumbraba a admirar a nadie, escribió de él que era “el primer hombre grande y digno de veneración con el que había tropezado en el mundo artístico”.
- Relaciones. Convivió 14 años con Isabella Colbran y 39 con Olympe Pélissier. Por la primera cambió su forma de componer, y en torno a la segunda organizó por completo su existencia.
- Sentido del humor. Rossini hacía gala de una simpatía y un buen humor permanentes, y era muy querido por ello. Solo le sacaba de quicio que alguien no le devolviera un cumplido a Olympe; quien cometía tal error era borrado para siempre de la lista de invitados a los “sábados musicales”.
