  1. Count Otto II of Nassau-Siegen (c. 1305 – between 6 December 1350 and 25 January 1351), German: Otto II. Graf von Nassau-Siegen, was since 1343 Count of Nassau-Siegen (a part of the County of Nassau). He descended from the Ottonian Line of the House of Nassau. Otto is not considered to have been a good regent.

  2. The first Count of Nassau-Siegen was Henry I, Count of Nassau-Siegen (d. 1343), the elder son of Otto I, Count of Nassau. His son Otto II, Count of Nassau-Siegen ruled also in Dillenburg. In 1328, John, Count of Nassau-Dillenburg died unmarried and childless, and Dillenburg fell to Henry I of Nassau-Siegen.

  3. By the 12th century the local counts of Laurenburg had established themselves near the town of Nassau, and Walram (died 1198) was the first of them to assume the title count of Nassau. His grandsons divided the inheritance: Walram II took the southern portion of Nassau, and Otto I took the northern portion.
