Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. Other work. Founder of HIAG. Otto Kumm (1 October 1909 – 23 March 2004) commanded two Waffen-SS divisions in the latter stages of World War II and was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.
After the Second World War, Otto Kumm became the production leader with a printer. He is known as one of the founders of the Post World War Two aid organisation for former Waffen-SS members, the HIAG (Hilfsgemeinschaft auf Gegenseitigkeit der ehemaligen Angehörigen der Waffen-SS e.V).

“Will the Americans try to stop us?” was the question in everyone’s mind. As soon as Otto Kumm arrived in Steyr, he was driven to the local American headquarters, where the commander of the U.S. 71st Infantry Division took him to meet General Lothar Rendulic of Army Group South.
In his strongly apologetic history of the 7th SS Division, which he commanded at the time, Otto Kumm wrote that Kampfgruppe Skanderbeg reached Ljubovija on the Drina river, it was placed under the command of the 7th SS Division, which was securing the river crossings in that area.
