Sorgenfri Palace (Danish: Sorgenfri Slot; lit. "Sorrow free", a calque of Sans Souci) is a royal residence of the Danish monarch, located in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality, on the east side of Lyngby Kongevej, in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen. The surrounding neighbourhood is called Sorgenfri after it.
Sorgenfri Palace was built by the architect Francois Dieussart in 1705-1706 for Carl Count Ahlefeldt. In connection with the sucession of the throne, factual information will be updated continuously on kongehuset.dk.

Around 1800 the garden was converted from a Baroque to a Romantic garden, with winding paths and small buildings elegantly placed in the landscape, including ‘the Swiss House’, ‘the Grotto’ and ‘the Queen’s Well’.
