Pastpresent is a compilation album by Irish folk group Clannad, released in 1989. It is a collection of selected songs recorded by the band from 1982 up to 1989, including two new songs exclusive to this release (until their inclusion on the 2003 remastered edition of Sirius) – "The Hunter" and "World of Difference".

Clannad tangled up between esotheric sounds, chart music and a rest of attitude. RCA wanted to push the band to commercial fame and glory. Lots of name dropping in the credits, a fine cover and this compilation should make it. The only sense of this compilation was to make people aware of the released RCA albums.
Clannad ( Irish pronunciation: [ˈklˠan̪ˠəd̪ˠ]) are an Irish band formed in 1970 in Gweedore, County Donegal, by siblings Ciarán, Pól and Moya Ui Bhraonáin (in English, Brennan) and their twin uncles Noel and Pádraig Ó Dúgáin (Duggan). [1] [2] They have adopted various musical styles throughout their history.
