Patricia Edwina Victoria Knatchbull, 2nd Countess Mountbatten of Burma, Baroness Brabourne,, was a British peeress and a third cousin of Queen Elizabeth II. She was the elder daughter of Admiral of the Fleet the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma and of heiress Edwina Ashley.
On 26th October 1946, Mountbatten’s eldest daughter - The Hon. Patricia Mountbatten married John, 7th Lord Brabourne (1924-2005) at Romsey Abbey. The wedding of his eldest daughter was a typical display of Mountbatten's organisational skills - with him taking personal charge of much of the arrangements.
14 de jun. de 2017 · It was announced on Wednesday that Patricia Knatchbull, 2nd Countess Mountbatten of Burma passed away on June 13 at the age of 93 surrounded by her family at her home in Mersham, Kent. A family spokesperson said that “arrangements for a funeral in London followed by the burial service in Mersham will be announced in due course”.
