Paul Karl Siebel [1] (September 19, 1937 – April 5, 2022) [2] was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Buffalo, New York. [3] . He is best known for other artists' cover versions of his songs, most notably "Louise".
20 de may. de 2008 · Woodsmoke was recorded on the quick with top-shelf musicians including the fantastic David Bromberg, Richard Greene (Muleskinner), and one Weldon Myrick on steel. The 2004 Rhino reissue includes 1971’s equally good follow-up, Jack Knife Gypsy, boasting an astoundingly impressive personnel.
One of the singer-songwriters I became passionate about back then was Paul Siebel, who was signed to Elektra Records in 1969 by the legendary Jac Holzman, one of the old-school passionate music men that used to run the record labels, unlike the marketing suits that dominate the industry these days.
