The first of these came in 2009, when her son and grandson published a radical revision of his autobiographical work A Moveable Feast that tried to change her negative image. Since then there have been two further attempts to exonerate her.

20 de jun. de 2023 · Pauline’s family were prominent in Northeast Arkansas and owned more than 60,000 acres of land. During the 1930s they converted their barn into a studio to give Hemingway privacy for writing during their visits to Piggott. Portions of one of his most famous novels, A Farewell to Arms, and several short stories were written in this studio.
After meeting in Paris in 1925, Ernest Hemingway and Pauline Pfeiffer began an affair that would end Hemingway's first marriage. Before his wife, Hadley, would consent to a divorce, she insisted on a 100-day separation between Ernest and Pauline. Pauline returned to Piggott from Europe during this period.
