21 de dic. de 2023 · A partir de los años sesenta, Peggy Guggenheim dejó de coleccionar arte y dedicó su tiempo a estar con sus queridos perros y cuidar de su palacio. En 1967, su hija Pegeen Veil Guggenheim falleció en extrañas circunstancias, causando una herida en la madre que jamás llegaría a cicatrizar.
Peggy se volvió a quedar embarazada y durante este tiempo viajó a Nueva York y de regreso se quedó en Suiza, donde nació su hija, una niña que sería bautizada como Pegeen Vail Guggenheim. En 1927, mientras estaba en París, Guggenheim conoció a Isadora Duncan, que pasaba por tiempos difíciles.
