The foundations for the values that guide Maersk today were first laid in the late 1800s in Villa Anna – the family home in the little Danish town of Svendborg. It was here that Anna and Peter Mærsk Møller raised their ten children, one of whom – A.P. Møller – would go on to found Maersk.

Peter Mærsk Møller was instrumental in acquiring the needed share capital to buy the company’s first ship in 1904 and remained interested in the business as it evolved until his death in 1927. Arnold Peter Møller (1876-1965) And his father, Peter Mærsk Møller, founded what would later become A.P. Moller – Maersk in 1904.
Peter Møller Nielsen (born 23 March 1972) is a Danish former professional football player who became a sports journalist after ending his football career in December 2005. In 2018 he became sporting director of Dansk Boldspil Union.

Møller-Mærsk Group was the shipping company Dampskibsselskabet Svendborg, founded by captain Peter Mærsk-Møller and his son Arnold Peter Møller (2 October 1876 – June 1965) in Svendborg, 1904. A.P. Møller had four children, one of whom was Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller.
