Petrus Plancius (Dutch: [ˈpeːtrʏs ˈplɑŋkiʏs]; 1552 – 15 May 1622) was a Dutch-Flemish astronomer, cartographer and clergyman. He was born as Pieter Platevoet in Dranouter, now in Heuvelland, West Flanders. He studied theology in Germany and England. At the age of 24 he became a minister in the Dutch Reformed Church.

Petrus Plancius ( holandés: [ˈpeːtrʏs ˈplɑŋkiʏs]; 1552 - 15 de mayo de 1622) fue un astrónomo, cartógrafo y clérigo holandés-flamenco. Nació como Pieter Platevoet en Dranouter, ahora en Heuvelland, Flandes Occidental. Estudió teología en Alemania e Inglaterra. A la edad de 24 años se convirtió en ministro de la Iglesia Reformada Holandesa.
