Peyton Randolph. Profession: Founding Father. Nationality: American. Biography: Peyton Randolph was a lawyer who played an important role in the events leading up to the American Revolution. Randolph came from a wealthy and powerful family in Virginia. He studied law in London and became the attorney general of Virginia in 1748.
Randolph died of a stroke in Philadelphia on October 22, 1775. He was temporarily interred in Christ Church Cemetery, and was returned to Virginia about a year later by his nephew Edmund Randolph.
