22 de jun. de 2020 · Philip Christoph’s father Count Kurt Christoph von Königsmarck was a Major General in the Swedish Army and served as Deputy Governor of the Swedish possessions in Germany. In 1671, he left the Swedish Army to serve in the army of Willem III, Prince of Orange (the future King William III of England), and took part in the Dutch campaign against the French.
18 de oct. de 2016 · It was a scandal that kept the rumour-mill of Europe turning over well into the 18th Century. The story – as brief as we can tell it – is that a dashing Swedish soldier of fortune, Count Philip Christoph von Königsmarck, entered the service of Elector Ernest Augustus of Hanover, and then entered the bedchamber of his daughter-in-law, Sophia Dorothea of Cele.
When her brother, Philip Christoph, disappeared in Hannover in 1694 in mysterious circumstances Aurora von Königsmarck set out to learn what had happened. Following her initial lack of success she sought the help of Duke Anton Ulrich of Braunschweig-Lüneburg in Wolfenbüttel and of Elector Frederick August in Dresden given that her brother was in Saxon service.

Philip Christoffer von Königsmarck, född 4 mars 1665, död omkring 12 juli 1694, var en svensk militär och greve. Han var son till Conrad Christoffer von Königsmarck, bror till Aurora von Königsmarck, Amalia Wilhelmina von Königsmarck och Carl Johan von Königsmarck samt brorson till Otto Wilhelm von Königsmarck.
