Philippe d'Auvergne ou Philip Dauvergne, que l'on trouve également parfois sous le nom de Philip de La Tour d'Auvergne, né en 1754 et mort le 18 septembre 1816 à Westminster , est un officier de marine, explorateur, scientifique et administrateur territorial britannique (notamment à Jersey).
Philippe d’Auvergne d Auvergne was commissioned lieutenant at Rhode Island on 2 July 1777, and he was appointed to the recently purchased armed vessel Alarm in October by the new commander-in-chief, Vice-Admiral Lord Howe.

Vice Admiral Philippe d'Auvergne, Royal Navy, fellow of the Royal Society, was buried in the churchyard of St Margaret's Westminster on 22nd September 1816 but he has no marker or memorial. He was born in St Helier on the island of Jersey and baptised in 1754.
Philippe d'Auvergne applied for service afloat and was appointed to the Nonsuch to command a flotilla of eight gun-boats to defend the Channel Islands. As Acting-Commodore, d’Auvergne was solely responsible for the safety of the Islands against attack by the French.
