Philippine Welser (Augsburgo, 1527 - castillo de Ambras, Innsbruck, 24 de abril de 1580) fue hija de un gran burgués de Augsburgo y esposa morganática de Fernando Il (1529-1595), archiduque de Austria y conde de Tirol, el hijo menor del emperador Fernando I (r. 1558-1564) y de Ana Jagellón, princesa de Bohemia y Hungría.
Philippine Welser (1527 – 24 April 1580) was the morganatic wife of Ferdinand II, Archduke of Austria. She was granted the titles Baroness of Zinnenburg, Margravine of Burgau, Landgravine of Mellenburg and Countess of Oberhohenberg and Niederhohenberg.

Philippine Welser (1527–1580), famed for both her learning and her beauty, was married to Archduke Ferdinand, Emperor Ferdinand I's son. Claiming descent from the Byzantine general Belisarius, the family is known since the 13th century.
Philippine Welser's is a singular story: the morganatic wife of the governor of Tyrol, Ferdinand II of Habsburg, she received as a gift from him the Castle of Ambras and... was the first woman to write a cookbook in the German area.
