Charles Pierre François Augereau, né le 21 octobre 1757 à Paris et mort le 12 juin 1816 à La Houssaye-en-Brie (Seine-et-Marne), est un général français puis maréchal d'Empire et duc de Castiglione.
Charles Pierre François Augereau was born on October 21, 1757 at rue Mouffetard in Paris. His father was a servant and his mother, originally from Bavaria, was a fruit and vegetable seller. He grew up in a popular region of the capitol, the Saint-Marceau suburb, whose manners and dialect he maintained for the rest of his life.
Created Duke of Castiglione in March 1808, Augereau fought in the Peninsular War from June 1809 until transferred to Germany the following year.
