Pierre de Rigaud de Vaudreuil de Cavagnial, marquis de Vaudreuil (22 November 1698 – 4 August 1778) was a Canadian-born colonial governor of French Canada in North America. He was governor of French Louisiana (1743–1753) and in 1755 became the last Governor-General of New France.

Fue gobernador de la Luisiana francesa (1743-1753) y en 1755 se convirtió en el último gobernador general de Nueva Francia .

Pierre François de Rigaud, Marquis de Vaudreuil-Cavagnal (1698-1778), was a Canadian-born governor of Louisiana and governor general of New France. He surrendered Canada to the British in 1760. Born at Quebec on Nov. 22, 1698, Pierre François de Vaudreuil was the son of Philippe de Rigaud, Marquis de Vaudreuil, the governor general of New France.
Vaudreuil-Cavagnal, Pierre de Rigaud, Marquis de (1704-1778), last governor of New France (1755-60), was born at Montreal in 1704, the son of Philippe de Rigaud de Vaudreuil and Louise Elisabeth Joybert de Soulanges. He became a captain in the troupes de la marine, and in 1733 was appointed governor of Three Rivers.
