In 2014, Igor founded a theological research center at the Poltava Theological Seminary. While teaching hermeneutics and Christian worldview formation courses, Igor Skripnichenko began writing his book on hermeneutics, called “Revival of Discipleship.” He also started preparing lectures on Christian influence fostering revival.

Specifically the Poltava Seminary and the Kyiv Theological Academy. Yurkevich was remembered for his critical stance against materialism in specific modern materialism. Yurkevich mentored Vladimir Soloviev. [1] Career. Yurkevich was in 1851, appointed the position of instructor in Philosophical Sciences at the Kyiv Theological Academy.
By 1911 the seminary system was fully in place, and institutions could be found in Kyiv, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Odesa, Katerynoslav, Simferopol, Yelysavethrad, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Kholm. In the early 1920s the Soviet regime liquidated the theological seminaries.
