As was the custom at the time, the new-born prince was given a long string of names: Philippe Eugène Ferdinand Marie Clément Baudouin Léopold Georges.

However, it is now believed to have been his brother Georges Glineur. Eyskens added that after a long applause in support of Royal Prince Baudouin, the cry was repeated by Lahaut.
