Prince Carl Bernhard of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (30 May 1792 – 31 July 1862) was a distinguished soldier, who, in 1815, after the congress of Vienna, became colonel of a regiment in the service of the king of the Netherlands.

Prince Bernhard of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (Bernhard Carl Alexander Hermann Heinrich Wilhelm Oscar Friedrich Franz Peter; 18 April 1878 – 1 October 1900) was a member of the Grand Ducal House of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach and a Lieutenant in the Prussian Army.

One of the most successful field commanders of his age, he won a number of important victories over the forces of the Austrian Habsburgs.
Now Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach would survive intact until the conclusion of the First World War. One of its most notable grand dukes was Prince Bernhard, who served as governor-general of Luxembourg in 1831.
