Hace 1 día · In 1623 came the Styrian Dominion of Murau into the Schwarzenberg family due to the marriage of Count Georg Ludwig of Schwarzenberg (1586–1646) with Anna Neumann von Wasserleonburg (1535–1623). Furthermore, the House of Schwarzenberg acquired extensive land holdings in Bohemia in 1661 through a marriage alliance with the House of Eggenberg .

Hace 6 días · After the death of his uncle Ernst in 1941, Georg succeeded to the headship of the house of Saxe-Meiningen and assumed the title of Duke of Saxe-Meiningen and style Georg III. Prince Georg died in the Russian prisoner of war camp near Cherepovets in Northern Russia, in 1946.

On 9 October 1937 Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig von Hessen und bei Rhein (of Hesse and by Rhine), who had reigned until 1918, had died at the age of 68.
2 de may. de 2024 · The religious wedding was held on 12 July 2014 at 1pm at the Benedictine Abbey of Frauenwörth on the “Fraueninsel” (The Women’s Island) in Lake Chiemsee, Bavaria, Germany. The service was led by the auxiliary bishop of Fulda, Prof. Dr. Karlheinz Diez, assisted by the pastor of the Fraueninsel, Konrad Kronast.
