Harald Hen. Harald Hen ( Runic Danish for "Harald the Whetstone"; c. 1040 – 17 April 1080) was King of Denmark from 1076 to 1080. Harald III was an illegitimate son of Danish king Sweyn II Estridsson, and contested the crown with some of his brothers. He was a peaceful ruler who initiated a number of reforms.
Harald V of Norway. Harald V (born 21 February 1937) is the King of Norway. His father was Olav V of Norway. [3] He became king in 1991. Harald was born in Skaugum, Akershus, Norway. In 1968, he married Sonja Haraldsen. They had two children: Princess Märtha Louise and Prince Haakon .
The first king of Norway recorded in near-contemporary sources is Harald Bluetooth (d. c. 985/986), who is claimed to be the king not only of Denmark but also Norway on the Jelling stones. The late ninth-century account of Norway provided by Ohthere to the court of Alfred the Great (about 890) and the history by Adam of Bremen written in 1075 record no King of Norway for the relevant period.
