At the start of their genealogy, early 12th century you’ll find a few men with different first names, but already soon all men are called Heinrich, the German equivalent of Henry. The story goes that the family tradition started in honour of the Holy Roman Emperor Heinrich VI (1165-1197).

In 1933 August Wilhelm had a position in the Prussian state, and became a member of the German Reichstag. The former prince hoped "that Hitler would one day hoist him or his son Alexander up to the vacant throne of the Kaiser".

Henriette Gruse was born on 26 December 1982. The couple met through one of their common hobbies: sailing. The bride looked lovely in a lace dress.
