William B. Lawsha, better known as Prince Lasha (/ l ə ˈ ʃ eɪ /), (September 10, 1929 – December 12, 2008) was an American jazz alto saxophonist, baritone saxophonist, flautist, clarinetist and English horn player.
Influenced by the musical styles of Gospel, Jazz, Latin, and Rhythm & Blues, and by his appreciation for the rich diversity of the world’s cultures, Lawsha is creating refreshing compositions which highlight both his drumming prowess and a range of rhythmic tempos.
