The veteran Prussian infantry, under the command of Lt. Gen. Prince Moritz of Anhalt-Dessau, would provide the main thrust of the attack. Frederick’s front line consisted of a densely packed twenty battalions intended to provide a smashing blow against the Austrian flank.
