Prince Nikita Nikitich Romanov (13 May 1923 – 3 May 2007) was a British born, American historian and writer, author of a book about Ivan the Terrible. He was a member of the Romanov family, a son of Prince Nikita Alexandrovich of Russia and a great nephew of Nicholas II of Russia, the last Tsar.

Prince Nikita Alexandrovich of Russia (17 January [ O.S. 4 January] 1900 – 12 September 1974) was the third son and fourth child of Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich of Russia and Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna of Russia. He was a nephew of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia .

Nicholas Romanovich Romanov (Russian: Николай Романович Романов; 26 September 1922 – 15 September 2014) was a claimant to the headship of the House of Romanov and president of the Romanov Family Association.

Most of the descendants of the Romanovs living today are the great-great-grandchildren of Xenia and Alexander.
Prince Theodore Nikitich Romanoff (1974-2007) was the only son of Princess Janet and Prince Nikita Romanoff. He studied classics and Egyptian and ancient languages at Columbia and Brown University, receiving an MA in Archaeology from Brown. He passed away in 2007, shortly after his father’s death.
