Hace 3 días · Prince Wilhelm of Hesse was heir to the Hesse-Philippsthal line. Prince Wilhelm was the eldest child of Prince Chlodwig of Hesse and Princess Caroline of Solms-Hohensolms-Lich. In 1932 he joined the Nazi Party and SS, rising to the rank SS-Hauptsturmführer.

Some 350 guests were invited for the wedding, that was led by the Rev. Erich Dorn. The civil wedding had already taken place in Wiesbaden on April 25 in private.
