Amalie Zephyrine von Salm-Kyrburg (* 6. März 1760 in Paris; † 17. Oktober 1841 in Sigmaringen) heiratete 1782 den Erbprinzen Anton Aloys von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen und gilt als die „Retterin Hohenzollerns“. [1] Sie stammte aus einer deutschen Adelsfamilie, die überwiegend im Umfeld des Hofes von König Ludwig XVI. lebte.

A few years later Amalie successfully used her contacts at the court of Napoleon to broker the Mediatisation of the houses of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and Hohenzollern-Hechingen. In 1808, after 20 years in Paris, the princess returned to Sigmaringen. Her name and the family coat of arms is carved into the rock.
