Princess Amelia Sophia Eleonore of Great Britain (10 June 1711 – 31 October 1786) was the second daughter of King George II of Great Britain and Queen Caroline. Born in Hanover she moved to England when her grandfather, George I became king.
Princess Amelia of the United Kingdom. Princess Amelia (7 August 1783 – 2 November 1810) was the fifteenth and last child and sixth daughter of King George III of the United Kingdom and his wife, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. She was their third child to die before them.
7 de sept. de 2023 · Princess Amelia (often called Emily in England), was one of several children of George II and his wife Caroline to be buried with them in the Hanoverian vault below the central aisle of Henry VII's chapel in Westminster Abbey. A small inscription was carved in the black and white pavement in 1866 and simply reads:
6 de oct. de 2016 · Amelia was christened on September 18, 1783, in the Great Council Chamber at St. James’ Palace in London by John Moore, Archbishop of Canterbury. She was named after her great-aunt, Princess Amelia, daughter of King George II. Her godparents were: The Prince of Wales (her eldest brother, later King George IV)
