Philipp-Ernst, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe (Friedrich August Philipp-Ernst Wolrad; 26 July 1928 – 28 August 2003) was a head of the Princely House of Schaumburg-Lippe. Biography [ edit ] He was born in Hagenburg , the second son of Prince Wolrad of Schaumburg-Lippe and his wife Princess Bathildis of Schaumburg-Lippe (1903–1983).

Princess Bathildis of Anhalt-Dessau was a Princess of Anhalt-Dessau and member of the House of Ascania by birth. As the wife of Prince William of Schaumburg-Lippe she was a Princess of Schaumburg-Lippe by marriage. She was a younger sister of Grand Duchess Adelaide of Luxembourg.

Thus, Princess Louise was introduced to her half-cousin Prince Frederick of Schaumburg-Lippe (1868–1945). He was a son of Prince William of Schaumburg-Lippe by his wife, Princess Bathildis of Anhalt-Dessau. The couple were engaged in 1894, and the wedding was celebrated on 5 May 1896 at Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen.
Princess Adelheid of Schaumburg-Lippe was a member of the House of Schaumburg-Lippe and a Princess of Schaumburg-Lippe by birth. Through her marriage to Friedrich, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Adelheid was a sister-in-law of Christian IX of Denmark and Duchess consort of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg from 14 October 1878 to 27 November 1885.
