13 de jul. de 2019 · Upon Queen Anne’s death on August 1, 1714, Caroline’s grandfather succeeded to the British throne as King George I of Great Britain and her father became the heir apparent to the British throne and was created Prince of Wales the following month. Amelia was then styled Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Great Britain.
By marriage. The wife of a British prince becomes a British princess, but she cannot use the title before her own given name. She can use the princess title with her husband's given name (e.g. Princess Michael of Kent), while the wife of the Prince of Wales is styled as the Princess of Wales (e.g. Catherine, Princess of Wales).
