Elisabeth Albertine of Saxe-Hildburghausen (4 August 1713 – 29 June 1761) was a Duchess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.[1] She served as regent for her son after the deaths in 1752–1753 of her husband and brother-in-law of, respectively, the ducal appanage of Mirow and of the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.[1]
Famille. La princesse Élisabeth-Albertine est la fille du duc Ernest-Frédéric Ier de Saxe-Hildburghausen (qui appartenait à la Maison de Saxe-Hildburghausen) et de son épouse, née comtesse Sophie-Albertine d'Erbach-Erbach. Elle épouse en 1735 à Eisfeld le duc Charles de Mecklembourg-Strelitz, prince de Mirow, où il résidait.
Elisabeth Albertine stand ihrem Sohn bei politischen Fragen auch in der Folgezeit beratend zur Seite. Gemeinsam mit ihrem Sohn ratifizierte sie im Juli 1755 für ihre minderjährigen Kinder den Landesgrundgesetzliche Erbvergleich. Elisabeth Albertine galt als besonders umsichtige Fürstin.
