Ida Karoline Luise was born on September 26, 1796, in Rhoden , then in the County of Waldeck and Pyrmont, later in the Principality of Waldeck and Pyrmont, and now in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Through her marriage to George William, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe, Ida was also a member of the House of Lippe and Princess consort of Schaumburg-Lippe. Princess Helena of Waldeck and Pyrmont was the only daughter of Friedrich, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont, last reigning Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont, and wife of Nikolaus, Hereditary Grand Duke of Oldenburg.
Princess Ida Matilda Adelaide of Schaumburg-Lippe (Bückeburg, 28 July 1852 – Schleiz, 28 September 1891) was the consort of Heinrich XXII, Prince Reuss of Greiz from 1872 until her death. [2] She was the mother of Hermine Reuss of Greiz , second wife of Wilhelm II , the last German Emperor.
