Death date. Hi! It says on Mafalda’s English Wikipedia page that she died on the 26-27th of August: "She died during the night of 26–27 August 1944; [6]". However, her English Wikipedia infobox says she died on 28 August.
4 de mar. de 2015 · On August 24, 1944, Allied bombers attacked Buchenwald’s ammunition factory. Mafalda and the other cabin inmates hid in the trench. When bombs demolished the cabin, it fell over the trench. They found her alive, crushed under a pile of rubble. One side of her face was burned and her left arm was crushed and burned.

In 1925, at the age of 22, she married the Landgrave of Hesse, Philipp. In 1943, during World War II, she was imprisoned in the Buchenwald concentration camp, where she died. The future King Umberto II of Italy was her younger brother.
