Princess Sophia of Gloucester (Sophia Matilda; 29 May 1773 – 29 November 1844) was a member of the British Royal Family, a great granddaughter of George II and niece of George III. Sir Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792) was one of the most important figures of the eighteenth century art world.
