Princess Therese of Nassau-Weilburg was born on July 17, 1815 in Weilburg, Germany. She was the daughter of William, Duke of Nassau, and his wife Princess Louise of Saxe-Hildburghausen. In 1837, Princess Therese married Prince Augustus of Württemberg, a member of the royal family of Württemberg, in a lavish ceremony in Weilburg.
Princess Therese of Nassau-Weilburg was a member of the House of Nassau-Weilburg and a Princess of Nassau-Weilburg by birth. Through her marriage to Duke Peter of Oldenburg, Therese was also a Duchess of Oldenburg.
