Rana Sangram Singh I (c. 12 April 1482 – 30 Jan 1528), popularly known as Rana Sanga was the Maharana of Mewar from 1508 to 1528 CE. Belonging to the Sisodia Rajput dynasty, through his capable leadership, he transformed the Kingdom of Mewar into the most powerful state in northern India in the early 16th century. [3]

Maharana Sangram Singh, commonly known as Rana Sanga, was the ruler of Mewar and one of the most prominent Rajput leaders in the 16th century India. He belonged to Sisodiya clan of Rajput and ruled between 1508 and 1528. He is known for his valour and the courage with which he fought against the Mughal invader Babur.
