Region Hannover är ett särskilt kommunalförbund i Hannover -regionen, Niedersachsen, Tyskland. Ett särskilt kommunalförbund innebär en sammanslutning av ett distrikt ( Landkreis) och en distriktsfri stad ( Kreisfreie Stadt ). Regionen bildades den 1 november 2001 genom sammanslagning av Landkreis Hannover och staden Hannover .

In the 19th century Lehrte was the most important railway junction in the former Kingdom of Hanover. As of the 21st century, it has a population of 43,000.
Hannover Re Foundation. The Hannover Re Foundation was created to mark Hannover Re's 25th anniversary in 1991. Its focus was initially – and remains to this day – on supporting contemporary art and culture in the region, especially through the acquisition of artworks which are made available to the Sprengel Museum Hannover on permanent loan.
