I think that the equivalence Renaud of Roucy / Ragenold the Vikink is a false one and that there is no link between the two. Renaud de Roucy is probably the son of another Renaud, named from 924 to 941 in Anjou, and perhaps count of Soissons. This first Renaud could be a nephew of Fulk I of Anjou (+ 942). CS
19 de abr. de 2024 · In 967, Renaud, Count of Roucy died, leaving four children: Bruno, Gislebert, Ermentrude, and another daughter, name unknown, who married Fromond II of Sens. Bruno (a name which by this time seemed to mark those destined for the church) became Bishop of Langres, while Gislebert succeeded his father as Count of Roucy, dying about 1000.

Ragenold van Roucy. Ragenold van Roucy (ca. 905 – 10 mei 967 ), was een Vikingenaanvoerder die graaf van Roucy werd. Ragenold was een aanvoerder van een Vikingleger, dat in 943 koning Lodewijk IV van Frankrijk steunde in zijn strijd tegen Herbert II van Vermandois. In 945 werd hij beleend met Roucy en bestuurde hij ook het graafschap Sens.
